I've just finished a 2 week work placement at keelergordon, a fashion textiles studio in east London. It was amazing to see how quickly a working studio produces a collection of fabrics (one week!) and also to see the variation of designs being produced. For me i think it was most beneficial to see the way their colour palettes were put together, and i spent hours mixing the print pastes and dyes to these colours.
I now have a very short space of time in which to finish my work, and i am starting with re-working my colour palette!
